User Issue:
Sometimes users need a way to enter more than one split trip, with overlapping date ranges, which will trigger an error for truck is already on a trip.
Scenario:
Truck one has a load from Chicago to New York. Truck two has a load from New York to Chicago. They need to meet in Cleveland and switch trails to relay the loads, instead of running them strait through. In this scenario the loads can't be entered without getting the truck is already on a trip validation.
Solution:
This feature is only available in the PRO version.
Instead of entering this scenario as two loads, enter it as four loads.
1. Chicago to Cleveland
2. Cleveland to New York
3. New York to Cleveland
4. Cleveland to Chicago
This way all of the loads can be dispatched and assigned to trips without the validation for overlapping dates. All of the routing and mileage will be correct. Then when creating the invoice add both loads to the invoice. After doing that you will see a button to combine lines on the invoice. At this point both loads will be combined so that the customer can be properly invoiced for the two loads.
