Common errors when creating a dispatch are:
"Error prohibited this dispatch from being saved"-- lets you know there is data missing or entered incorrectly and will need to be fixed to save the dispatch.
"Dates are out of order."-- You are creating a dispatch with dates before the Initial Start Date of the truck. You will need to go to Settings, then Units, then edit the truck you are creating the dispatch for. Make sure the Initial Start date is before the first dispatch you will track in the system. This is a common error on the first dispatch, but will not occur after the first dispatch.
"No matching city, zip or place found"-- PC*Miler attempted to run the route and cannot find one of the cities in the dispatch for a Shipper, Routing Stop or Consignee. 99% of the time it is a misspelled city name. If they all look correct, type each city name & state into Google to verify their spelling. You can edit the address right in the dispatch to make the correction without having to leave the dispatch page.
"Driver can't be blank."-- Enter a Driver
"You must pick a unit."-- Enter a Truck
"You must choose a customer."-- Enter a Customer, the Customer is the party to be invoiced
"You must enter at least one shipper. You must enter all shippers and consignees."-- Enter a Shipper, the Shipper is a pickup location.
"You must enter at least one consignee. You must enter all shippers and consignees."-- Enter a Consignee, the Consignee is a drop off location.
"Pickup or delivery date is invalid date."-- Enter a missing date for a Shipper or Consignee, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Pickup or delivery date is invalid date. You must enter the pickup date before continuing."-- Incorrect date, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Pickup or delivery date is invalid date. You must enter the pickup date before continuing."-- Incorrect date, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Pickup cannot be after delivery. Pickup or delivery date is invalid."-- You cannot have a Shipper date after Consignee dates, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Routing stop must be between pickup dates and delivery dates."-- Routing stop dates must be between the last Shipper and the first Consignee.
"Fee amount in cents cannot be bigger than 1,000,000" and "Fee total in cents cannot be bigger than 1,000,000."-- You can't have a monetary field in a dispatch over 1 million dollars. This prevents the occasional mistype.
"Expenses expensed on date is invalid or blank."-- The truck expense needs a date entered it was incurred, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Fuel expenses expensed on date is invalid or blank."-- The fuel expense needs the date entered in which it was incurred, use the calendar icon to pick dates.
"Fuel expenses state can't be blank."-- Select the state where the fuel expense was incurred
"Accessory fees fee amount in cents is not a number."-- Boxes cannot be blank, make sure there is a zero or higher amount entered
