I used to have a hard time keeping track of loads that were scheduled in the future. So if a customer asked me to pick up a load sometime next week I would tell them I could do it then I would have to remember to have a truck for that day. I started keeping track of these future loads by creating a driver with the last name "Available", then adding the dispatch to the list. Then on my dispatch list I would have loads for the future that would show as "Available", so when the day got closer I could just edit the dispatch with the correct driver.
The above way to track future loads works perfect for our Basic TruckingOffice subscriptions. In August of 2014 we released our new TruckingOffice Pro accounts. The PRO subscription was created to help accommodate LTL and partial loads and comes complete with a load planner. With the load planner you are able to enter load information as you can before scheduling the load on a trip. It is a great way to review all your loads and information to see why is going to be the most profitable way to assign these loads on a trip.
