Editing logs vs adding missing log-
There are two types of duty status events: manually entered and system generated:
-The manually entered logs are ones that the driver submits themselves by clicking Change Duty Status, then selecting the duty status, then clicking Create.
-The system generated logs are ones generated by the system-for instance, when the truck reaches 5MPH and it automatically updates to driving or when you stop driving and the system automatically switches to on-duty after several minutes.
To edit manually entered logs, click View logs. Click on the date of the log. You will see a list of your logs for that day. Click directly on the log and you will see an Edit button at the top. Change the duty status, then click Save.
You cannot edit system generated logs. However, there are scenarios where you can add a missing log. For instance, if the driver stops driving and closes the app and gets out of the truck without changing to off duty, it will stay on the drive line until it is changed again. In this instance, you can click Add Missing Log. Choose the correct duty status, the date/time, and a comment. Then click Add Missing Log. When adding your missing log, make sure the time that you choose is when the truck was NOT in motion. If you select a time that the truck was in motion, you will get an error message and it will not allow you to proceed until you change the time.
