Broker to Company Split Trips
I’d like to suggest an improvement to the Split Trip feature in TruckingOffice.
It would be extremely helpful if we could split one broker trip into multiple individual trips, with each trip assigned to a different owner-operator, while still keeping all of them connected to the original broker trip.
This would make it much easier to track loads, assign drivers, and manage our daily operations when multiple owner-operators are involved in the same broker load.
Thank you for considering this feature for a future update.

Are you talking about a load that you are hauling for a broker or one that you are brokering out to another carrier?

Currently there are 3 trip types: company, empty, and broker. Company trips are trips hauled by your company. Broker trips are for loads that are brokered to a independent carrier using your brokerage authority. Empty move trips are for relocating a truck in between trips, or for an out of route stop in between trips such as going home for the weekend.
We are adding a new trip type for owner/operator trips. When you add a truck to your account and set the ownership type to owner/operator, then trips with that truck will be classified as owner/operator trips. These trips will still be considered Company Trips not Broker Trips.
For driver pay, when you use the driver contract there are advanced driver pay settings commonly used for owner/operator pay plans.
