Driver Settlements Load VS. Trip

We pay our driver a % per load, but when I group them into trips I have to settle per trip with the driver. Thus, for partial loads that brokers pay at different times I am unable to accurately settle with the driver and would have to choose between paying partial early or paying partial late as its currently set up.
