Engine Synchronization Compliance Malfunction
Description: “Engine synchronization compliance malfunctions” occur when ECM connectivity to any of the required data sources (engine power status, vehicle motion status, miles driven, and engine hours) is lost for more than 30 minutes during a 24-hour period aggregated across all driver profiles.
How to Prevent: When leaving the truck, use the “leave truck” button or completely close the app.
How to Resolve: The malfunction will reset after a full 24 hours have passed as long as another malfunction doesn’t occur during that time. If the Bluetooth is still disconnected, try these steps to troubleshoot:
1:) Unplug the data reader and plug it back in. Use the "key" on the center pin to line it up then push it in and line up the outer locking ring. The outer locking ring then needs to be turned a quarter turn clockwise to lock it into place. When it is securely mounted your should see a blinking light on the VID. This light will stop blinking when blue tooth is connected to your app.
2) Restart the app-either swipe the app closed and reopen it and sign back in, or you can turn off the entire phone/tablet and turn it back on.

This happens two or three times a week. It’s getting old. Usually when I restart the tablet the malfunction goes away, but this time it’s not!!!!
